tl;dr JeffConf is Born: http://www.jeffconf.com
One year ago today, I wrote this blog
“Serverless” is just a name. We could have called it “Jeff”
I am increasingly frustrated by people who keep complaining about the name “Serverless” for the architecture the…
Little did I know how much people would pick up on it in the Serverless community and take it to heart. Jeff has appeared in numerous places around the Serverless community and it’s been a lot of fun.
And while the Serverless word still causes issues with people in the community, a few of us thought we’d raise the profile of Jeff a bit.
The latest in Jeff-ness is something a bit different.
A small group of us in the UK Serverless community thought that Jeff needed his own conference. So we made one!
JeffConf is born!
Where and when? St Johns Hoxton, London on July 7th 2017.
Tickets and info: http://www.jeffconf.com
We’ve put together a one day, single track, community conference just round the corner from Old St in London and Jeff is the main event!
We’ve got some awesome speakers lined up and it’s going to be a pretty special time of catching up and hearing from the community.
We’re aiming for a mix of talks so it will be both for newcomers to Serverless and the more experienced practitioners too.
And the tickets are only £35.
But what we’d really like is to grow the community in London, so we’ve developed the idea of Diversity tickets, where you buy your own ticket, and buy a second ticket for a Diversity Scholar to come for free.
And Diversity tickets are only £70.
And given who is going to be at the conference, we think it’s a small price to pay to both come and grow the community.
So come, bring your tech team, learn from some of the best. We think it’s going to be great.
