I would suggest that the broad brush is definitely more for effect. Of course there are many enterprises that use FaaS in various forms and in much cleverer ways than we do!
I think I would point out that you can’t write an article about everyone. Exceptions are always going to exist. But the overall perception of enterprise is that it is a slow moving beast with Risk at it’s heart, and it would take quite a big leap of faith to start using FaaS or wider serverless ideas within those enterprises at present.
My comeback would be that while a lot of people are still “looking” at this technology, the space that is actually making a big leap into this technology is startups, simply because they have no/little legacy to deal with. And they are making massive leaps because of it.
