I would agree that it’s not the best way of managing a production lambda (hence the next paragraph saying that).

However sometimes it’s actually quite useful and can fix a problem very quickly when needed.

Even in the best architects systems with the best workflow possible there can be times a shortcut is needed and this is really useful.
