I reckon puzzle gamers are the next coders

I’ve had a fun few hours playing around with http://www.hackedapp.com/ on my phone. It’s fun, and very simple to understand, but for a programmer it’s definitely a good way of learning.

But it’s also a puzzle game. A puzzle game is about learning a set of rules, and then using the skills you learn over many iterations to get better at figuring out the puzzles.

So, maybe the hacked app has something that the tech community should consider. Finding those people that enjoy puzzle games, and teach them via puzzles rather than “tutorials”.

It could be a rich vein of new coders, and it could bring in some very interesting new ideas into technology as well.
